The Bargain Bin is where I review CDs that I’ve puchased for less than £4 in bargain bins all around the country.

All the CDs i’m going to be reviewing are albums produced by record companys, so they are all signed artists. But many perhaps not getting the airtime they deserve.

Todays CD i picked up from Save the Children in Leamington Spa. A special thank you goes out to Moyra who helped me purchase Heatseeker by WWMT for only £2.50.

The Worldwide Message Tribe (WWMT) or as they were later known, ‘The Tribe’ were an influential christian band of the 90’s inspiring christian chavs all accross Manchester. Their mix of comtempory hip-hop, techno and rap has captured many people’s imaginations, including Trace Tumbleson from Trimont, Montana who says:

“It is hard to find christian groups that do techno well or do it at all for that matter.”

And how right she is. The Album is well crafted and simply a joy to listen to.

Upon placing the CD in my Alba Midi Hi-fi system I immediately noticed simularities between WWMT and more mianstream music, such as Roni Size. The beats on a few of the tracks are good and the bass that pumps from songs like ‘Hypocrite’ really are something special.
Cost Per Track: 25p

VERDICT
